Each course originating in the Department is designated by three letters SVI, followed by a three-digit number.

The first digit designates the year, the second digit indicates the subject area, the third digit gives the order of the course in the same subject area in the year. For courses taken from other departments, the course codes of those departments are adopted. The middle digit of a University wide course is coded ‘0″. The final year project is coded 500. It is expected that students should start their final year project in semester 1 and complete in the second semester. The middle digit of survey course serviced to other departments on designated 8.

4.2.0   REQUIREMENTS FOR THE AWARD OF BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE IN SURVEYING
